Do I need to have my clothes cleaned before alterations?
Ideally yes. Clean garments are easier to work with and give more accurate results, especially around hems and seams. If your item needs cleaning, we can dry clean or launder it first, then complete the alterations so everything fits and looks its best.
How long do alterations usually take?
It depends on the garment and the work needed. Simple jobs like hemming pants or shortening sleeves are often done within a few days. More complex work such as major resizing, formalwear, or bridal pieces will take longer. When we see your item in person, we’ll give you a realistic timeframe before you leave.
Can you work with delicate or specialty fabrics (silk, lace, sequins, leather, etc.)?
In most cases, yes. Our tailors work with delicate and detailed garments regularly, including silks, lace gowns, beaded dresses, and fine suiting. Some materials require extra time or hand-sewing, so we’ll examine the piece in person and explain any limitations or additional care it might need.
